OVERVIEW
From April 9th – May 13th, BLOOM, The Abbotsford Tulip Festival and Tourism Abbotsford will be hosting a photography contest to create a highlight gallery of some the best captures of this year’s festival.
CONTEST MECHANICS
To enter in the photo contest, photographers must upload their best capture to Instagram with the hashtag #bloomsbest2018. Every image uploaded with this hashtag is considered an entry in the photo contest.
The photo contest will award a prize for the best photo in following 5 categories: Kids, Those in Love (Couples), Pets, Scenery and Portraits.
At the end of the festival, the best images under the hashtag search will be shortlisted and a panel of judges will determine the final winners.
All shortlisted contestants will be contacted via direct message on Instagram with request to submit their high-resolution image file through email and grant usage for social media, web, and a photo calendar. The photographer will always be credited for their image.
A panel of judges from BLOOM and Tourism Abbotsford will select and award the final winners with their prizes.
Bloom will inform the winners (x5).
APPLICATIONS
All shortlisted images from the contest submitted via email will be uploaded to a gallery page on the Bloom website giving credit to each photographer.
Images may also be used in a printed 12 months of Bloom calendar.
A follow up EDM communication will be released after the festival announcing the winners and sharing their images.
